Comparison Table

This page shows you the differences between regular email and the new EmailXT protocol:

Current email system
EmailXT
Messages are sent unencrypted, and can be read and tampered with while in transit.
EmailXT messages are sent encrypted using a public key cryptosystem. Only the private key holder can read the message.
File attachments are sent uncompressed.
All message attachments are compressed before being sent, saving transmission time and mailbox space.
Anyone and just about anything can send email to any mailbox in the world, including spammers, phishers, viruses, etc.
Relationship mechanisms prevent automated systems from sending email to EmailXT users. EmailXT protects everyone from spam, viruses and phishing attacks.
Managing list subscriptions is hard and sometimes cumbersome. Every mailing list has different subscribe and unsubscribe methods.
EmailXT’s relationship management functions allows you to easily subscribe, update and cancel mailing list subscriptions in an automatic and unified way.
Making sure that all contacts in the address book are up to date is nearly impossible without a great deal of effort from the user.
Users don’t need to worry about their contacts with EmailXT, since any contact can update its own entry automatically! Any change in their profile can be reflected in the user’s address book.
Spam filters are normally not up to date and are not efficient. Users need to spend a large amount of time training and maintaining the filter definitions. And spammers are always finding new ways to circumvent them.
You don’t need a spam filter in EmailXT since no unsolicited message can reach you. You don’t need to spend time training or updating your spam settings.
Users with several email clients installed on different computers have trouble synchronizing all contacts, and sometimes cannot synchronize at all due to incompatible systems.
EmailXT’s standard address book exchange file lets you easily synchronize the address book in all your email clients.
Mail encryption software exists but it is hard to keep up with all those key management tasks.
EmailXT automatically takes care of all management tasks. You don’t have to worry about storing, managing or generating encryption keys.
Users can be tricked into sending personal sensitive information by email requests pretending to be from trusted sources since any email address can be forged.
EmailXT allow entities to be certified through an independent CA (certificate authority). This certificate will add a higher degree of confidence on any message that you receive.
