EmailXT encryption
EmailXT provides security, privacy and non-repudiation for your email communications. An EmailXT message can be encrypted using two different methods:
RSA for message exchange between correspondents with an established relationship
Triple-DES (3DES) for message exchange using a passcode
The two message blocks (text and attachments) are then enveloped in an S/MIME-compatible container.
Although these encryption algorithms are used in the current version of EmailXT, they are not mandatory for future versions. So, in the future, RSA or Triple-DES may be replaced or new algorithms be added without changes in the underlying protocol.
Digital signatures bring higher trust and non-repudiation to your email. When someone sends a message to you, the included signature is an undeniable proof that the message you got was actually sent by the person the message claims.
